Note: On this route, you are not buying a ticket for a specific time, but for a specific day. Boarding is based on the order of arrival at the port. During the summer months, we recommend arriving at the Split port at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure to secure your spot on the chosen ferry.

Makarska – Sumartin Ferry (Line 638)

This route is an ideal choice if you are arriving on Brac Island from southern Croatia (from the direction of Dubrovnik or the Makarska Riviera). Unlike the large ferries from Split, this line is operated by a smaller vessel with limited capacity, which offers a calmer atmosphere but requires better planning.

Frequency of services in 2026

The number of departures varies significantly depending on the period of your travel:

  • High Season (May 29 – Sept 13): The ferry runs 7 times a day in both directions.

    • Departures from Makarska: 06:30, 08:30, 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:30, 21:00.

  • Reservation (Key Point): On the Makarska – Sumartin line, reservations for a specific time are possible and highly recommended. If you are traveling by car during the high season, buy your ticket online in advance at Jadrolinija.hr; otherwise, you will likely not be able to board your chosen departure.

Krilo Catamaran: Split – Supetar (Line 2026)

This catamaran is the fastest connection between the mainland and Supetar. It is intended exclusively for passengers (no vehicles), allowing for lightning-fast boarding and disembarking right in the city center.

2026 Timetable

Departures are divided by season; during the summer months, the catamaran runs nearly every two hours.

  • Operator: Krilo – Kapetan Luka

  • Our Tip: The Krilo catamaran is extremely popular, especially between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. We recommend buying your ticket online at least one day in advance because, unlike the ferry, the catamaran has a fixed seating capacity, and once it’s sold out, boarding is no longer possible.

Catamaran: Split – Bol (Kapetan Luka / Krilo)

This line connects Split directly with the southern part of Brac Island. It is an ideal choice for day trips to the Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat) beach or for guests traveling without a car.

Why choose this connection?

  • Directly to the heart of Bol: The catamaran docks right at the main pier in Bol, just a few minutes’ walk from local restaurants. To reach the Golden Horn beach, you can take a tourist train or taxi boats that depart just a short distance from the pier. If you prefer a walk, it is approximately 2.2 km along a beautiful pine-shaded promenade that leads directly to the beach.

  • Speed: Traveling by ferry to Supetar followed by a car or bus transfer to Bol takes at least 2 hours in total. By catamaran, you are there in less than an hour.

  • Comfort: You avoid transfers and waiting in ferry queues.
